Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR-RI) or The People’s Representative Council is one of
the two elected national legislative assemblies in Indonesia, also known as The
House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. It is a multiple-function
institution and occupies one of the biggest buildings in the Indonesian government.
Sittings with up to 560 members of the parliament require a high-quality
communication system – equipment to deliver crisp, clear audio throughout the
conferences to ensure smooth proceedings. In addition, the conference management
system must accommodate for interruptions or the flow of irregular communication.
560 Bosch DCN multimedia conference devices, nine Bosch HD Dome Conference
cameras with automatic camera control, sound reinforcement comprising Electro-
Voice speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and a wireless microphone system were all
installed to complete the existing set-up.
With the installation of the new audio equipment, DPR-RI is now able to enjoy
improved communication during its parliamentary meetings. The queuing feature of
Bosch’s DCN multimedia conference system has also created better speaking flow in
meetings, for smoother and more effective proceedings. And, with the names of the
speakers displayed on screens, members can identify who is speaking and when it’s
their turn to deliver their address.
