Bosch is proud to present a new software release for its award-winning DCN
multimedia Conference System. Version 1.7 is designed primarily for users who
configure and operate the system, and offers enhanced ease-of-use and
connectivity. The system now supports attendance registration, logging information
for meeting notes and additional participant identification modes. Multiple import
functions and a new interface enable quicker camera configuration and the
convenient importing of various meeting documents. Version 1.7 is available
immediately.

Key features include attendee registration, which displays the number of present
and absent participants. This feature is especially useful for meetings with a large
number of attendees and helps the chairperson decide when to open a meeting or a
voting round.

Another feature is meeting notes, an automatic logging of meeting information such
as start time, attendance and topics covered, along with decisions made and voting
participants. This information is automatically stored in a log file, helping the clerk
create the meeting minutes.

Identification methods is a system supports new participant identification methods.
The Bosch access fingerprint reader system is integrated into the system for
biometric scanning. External identification systems – such as biometric scanning
devices – can also be connected through a new Application Programming Interface
(API).

Efficient data import is another key feature. This new interface enhances the
efficiency of meeting preparation by importing participants’ information and
documents in a quick and easy way.

The software update also allows an easy, user-friendly camera configuration mode.
Cameras can be renamed to logical names to simplify identification; the camera-
website can be accessed via the serial number hyperlink for easy camera
configuration. Cameras which are no longer connected can be deleted in the same
way.
