Electrosonic SA has announced that they will be sponsoring the Stage Lighting Master Class (SLMC), a triennial event that was launched in 2001. The two day series of master classes focus on the art and craft of stage lighting design is the only event of its kind in South Africa. This year, SLMC master classes will take place at Johannesburg’s Market Theatre Laboratory on 27 and 28 September and Cape Town’s Artscape Opera Theatre on 2 and 3 October.

SLMC is aimed at anyone who is interested in stage lighting and theatre, from technicians to designers, stage managers, events crew, directors, choreographers and students. The classes will cater for every stage of knowledge from the basics to the more advanced design techniques, tips and tricks. It does not matter whether you work in theatre, live events, television or corporate entertainment; SLMC is a great event and fantastic opportunity to meet other people in your industry and network with professional designers and product suppliers from around the world.

The all inclusive price to attend SLMC for both days will cost R1500 (incl. VAT) per person, or if you only want to attend one of the days, it is R975 (incl. VAT) per day. Students and scholars only pay R950 (incl. VAT) fully inclusive for both days on presentation of a valid student card. There is also a 10% discount for group bookings of more than five people and 15% for groups of ten people or more.
