The South African Roadies Association (SARA) is running a 12-month training programme (Live Event Technical Production – NQF Level 4) in Newtown Johannesburg.

Funded by the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA), the programme covers live sound, lighting, staging, health and safety, backline and production. A total of 20 students enrolled this year.

Over the years SARA has initiated a series of educational programmes covering the lighting, audio and production sectors. Registration for the 2013 to 2014 course will start in February. For more information visit www.saroadies.co.za.
