Kylie Minogue has just completed her European leg of her Kiss Me Once tour and Sennheiser offered an important role in the audio production with its wireless monitor systems.

The tour’s microphone package includes Sennheiser SKM 5200 microphones with MD 5235 capsules and EM 3732-II receivers, with monitoring via SR 2050 IEM transmitters and EK 2000 IEM belt packs.

The size and weight of the microphone are also very important, as well as the SKM 5200/MD 5235 combination which suits this show, as Kylie spends a lot of time out in front of the PA system on the B stage, states Kevin Price, FOH engineer for Minogue.
This is the best choice of mic’s for Kylie and the production manager Kevin Hopgood confirms that after having worked with Sennheisesr for more than 12 years, the support on the 2014 tour has been exemplary.

“Sennheiser has always delivered assistance with customisation to tie in with the show aesthetics, this year with microphone bodies in scarlet, hot pink and chrome. Kylie is all about quality and attention to detail, so Sennheiser equipment is the ideal complement,’ says Hopgood.
