In extending its range of offerings and capabilities, the company has concluded an exciting deal to become the sole distributor for Belgian lighting business Luminex Lighting Control Equipment.
Luminex commenced operations in February 2002, and is a young and ambitious company specialized in developing lighting control equipment for the entertainment industry. The company was formed by Bart Swinnen and Jan Renckens who brought together some dynamic people specialized in electronics and software to realize all the projects.
Luminex LCE has extensive technical background knowledge in lighting, with the directors having more than 20 years’ experience in the lighting and sound rental services business.
In 2004 Luminex had a notable launch of its Ethernet-DMX8 node running 32 DMX lines, at the Paralympics in Athens. This was followed by the launch of a complete new range of DMX and Ethernet solutions at Siel in Paris in 2005. The company’s latest product innovation is the upgraded version of the new Gigacore Firmware Ethernet switch, v2.0.1.
