Mediatech Africa is a biennial advanced media, entertainment and integrated technologies trade show being held at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, from 17 – 19 July.

Visitors to Mediatech Africa can look forward to seeing products from some of the world’s leading manufacturers of audiovisual technology, including Barco, Extron, Sennheiser, and  Exterity, among others.

According to Mediatech trade show director, Simon Robinson “The three-day event attracts global and local brands who are at the forefront of their industries. Thought leaders, decision makers and the highest calibre influencers who are shaping tech trends and the very industry itself – attend the showcase. By design, Mediatech Africa is an experience which visitors immerse themselves in, leaving invigorated and inspired by the possibility of opportunity and a fast forward glimpse into the future.

In addition to the exciting range of technologies on the tradeshow floor, Mediatech Africa hosts an industry-leading programme of presentations, product demonstrations and networking events for AV professionals and end users of professional audiovisual technology.

This year, Peripheral Vision and Sennheiser will be showcasing Sennheiser’s new TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone in a live boardroom. Frank Andrewartha, founder and director of Australian-based audio manufacturer Quest Engineering, will be presenting on how to go about achieving sound re-enforcement in challenging environments. Senior lighting designer at Pamboukian Light Designs, Joao Viegas will be sharing his expertise on the inclusion of LED technology in architectural environments. Reto Brader, CEO at Barix AG, a skills-based company offering expertise and solutions in leading-edge, IP- based communications and control technology will be speaking about cost-effective solutions for audio transport, background music, paging and intercom using IP and the internet.

In addition to the impressive presentation programme, there will be several important industry events happening during the show, including the Government AV Forum Breakfast, aimed at government departments and employees who use audio-visual technology in the service of national, provincial and local government objectives.

All presentations are free of charge for registered Mediatech visitors.
