ETC have recently installed LED solutions in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban, making ETC’s LED Source 4 a popular choice in the industry.
The Fugard Theatre’s recent production of The Humming Bird in Cape Town uses the newly installed ETC lighting ETC Source 4 Lustr Series 2 LED profile. The play required very specific colour effects and after a short demo, an order was placed for the upcoming production as well as a further six ETC Source 4 Lustr Series 2 for a future production.
Also in Cape Town, the UEFA and Weather Studios required 12 ETC HD Studio LED Fixtures which comprised ETC Element Lighting Consoles, ETC Smart Pack wall mount Relay unit 12 x 10A, and two ENTTEC 1 in 4 out DMX Splitter buffer units.
To complement the ETC profiles in the UEFA and Weather Studios, Prosound supplied the following control equipment for the Cape Town installation: an ETC Element console, 1 x channels ETC Smart Relay wall mount unit, and ENTTEC DMX Splitter units.
For the Johannesburg installation, the Prosound technical team were given a turnaround time of 48 hours. Working through the night they successfully completed the installation at Studio 105 in Hyde Park. They took every measure to ensure that it was ready for the live e-NUUS broadcast (channel 144) on DSTV at 19H00 the next day. The installation included ETC ION Lighting Console and ION Fader Wing, two ETC Smart Pack 12 x 10A Relay units, and three ENTTEC RDs 8 DMX Splitter Buffer units. To complement these, the installation includes the ETC ION Control Console with Fader wing, 24 x channels ETC Smart Relay Rack Mount units, ENTTEC DMX Splitter units
Prosound have also successfully included LED Lighting installations at the Durban Playhouse, Namibian TV, Desisti and the Rivers Church.

The Source 4 LED Studio HD profile combines high-output white LEDs with carefully selected LED colours from the ETC Selador x 7 Colour System to create a beautiful white light – without all the spectral gaps normally associated with LED lighting.
